A New Hope?

With apologies to George Lucas.

Well, we had high hopes that the first post-racial president would be both competent and a national healer, Instead, he's demonstrated the same level of competence that he showed throughout the rest of his life's endeavors. (Sigh!)

On top of that, he has engaged in the racial divisiveness that is so typical of the Democratic Party in recent decades -- if you cannot create a victorious political party from common beliefs, create one by kludging-together a plethora of self-interest groups. And if you have to destroy the national unity of the people to achieve that, so be it. (Sad)
It is almost horrible that I yearn for those terrible days after 9/11 when our nation was truly united, if only in grief anf if only for a short time. E Pluribus Unem.

Anyway, perhaps another new face on the political battlefield will carry the day towards true economic competence and national racial-healing? Let's home so. Perhaps this man's experience as a true executive, his battles with real-life adversity, and his skill as a unifier, will serve the country well. I'm praying.

Speaking to the Base

Divisive politics. Sad and disappointing -- but no longer surprising.

I held my nose and voted for McCain last time around, but consoled myself that at least Obama's election would perhaps serve to finally heal the racial wounds in the country. Now, amazingly enough, the scabs have been picked off the wounds and the trans-racial chasm is wider and deeper than ever. And this guy seems intent upon using these divisive tactics to keep us apart. Scary.

It's always easier to break a glass than to either build it in the first-place or to put a broken-glass back together. Let' pray that the Union of this nation is stronger than the forces trying to pull us apart.

TRUTH!!!

The Administration's report on Ft Hood is a whitewash. Duh!

I used to kinda like Sec. Gates -- no longer. He had this chance to speak the truth to power and showed that he is too small a man to do so.

Fat, dumb, or slovenly = DO NOT PROMOTE!

Fat, dumb, slovenly, and Islamic = Promote Early!!!

WTF?

BTW: COL (Ret) Ralph Peters is kickass. Buy one of his books on Amazon.

Why the Prez is a Mo-Ron -- Reason #235,654

Go to 4:52 for the money shot:

In an effort to look good and cover his butt, he's actually overreacting -- in absolutely the wrong direction. Functionally retarded.

This is what you get if you aren't serious about protecting the USA and its citizens. When will he realize that we truly are at war?

Just Another Preparatory Skirmish?

"Last week, an esteemed Columbia University black architecture professor punched a white female coworker in the eye for not doing more about white privilege.

He has no history of violence. So why now?

Why now? This may be the most important question of our time. Why are some people reaching the boiling point? Why do many others look vacant, like an Invasion of the Body Snatchers? The shootings at military bases, from Little Rock to Fort Hood -- why now?

It's Obama, of course." Read Judy of Berkeley's entire post here -- it is truly excellent.

Where is Charles Martel Now that We Need Him Again?

Yeah -- I know that this is not OUR Civil War 2.0, iasmuch that it is not happening in our country.

However, this is VERY MUCH OUR WAR in that we are fighting the same global enemy.

Tragic. Read the original lyrics in English -- very ironic:

"Familiar memories
Come to my mind
I see my black student's smock again
On the way to school

Singing rhymes without words,
Old songs from the past,
at the top of my voice
Sweet France

Dear country of my childhood
Rocked with tender unconsciousness
You are in my heart
My town, the steeple, the houses

Where the children of my age
shared my happiness
Yes, I love you
And I offer you this poem

Yes, I love you
In happiness and pain
Sweet France
Dear country of my childhood

Rocked with tender unconsciousness
You are in my heart
I have known wonderful
Landscapes and suns

During long trips
Everything under other skies
But I continue to prefer
My blue sky, my horizon

My road, my river
My prairie and my house."

Bastards!

The Supreme Court's 2005 decision in Kelo v. City of New London stands as one of the worst in recent years, handing local governments carte blanche to seize private property in the name of economic development.

Now, four years after that decision gave Susette Kelo's land to private developers for a project including a hotel and offices intended to enhance Pfizer Inc.'s nearby corporate facility, the pharmaceutical giant has announced it will close its research and development headquarters in New London, Connecticut.

;

As far as I can tell, establishment media coverage of Pfizer's latest move and its real-world relevance to the Kelo ruling has thus far been non-existent. A Google News search on "Pfizer Kelo" (not in quotes) at 11:00 a.m. came back with a dozen items, none from major establishment media outlets. A search on "Pfizer eminent domain" (again not in quotes) came back with 13, adding only the Hartford Courant report noted above. The Associated Press's coverage of the Pfizer-Wyeth facilities consolidations only says that "Groton, Conn. .... will add 1,500 workers from a nearby New London facility being closed."

The idea that news consumers outside of Connecticut don't have an interest in learning what has really happened at the site involved in the Supreme Court's odious Kelo ruling is patently absurd. Perhaps this four-year blackout has occurred because our journalistic gatekeepers would prefer that we not see a concrete demonstration of what can happen when a government gives in to its authoritarian impulses, and the courts fail in their duty to rein it in.

Pisslamic Terrosists Suck -- But Not a Whole Lot

At least that's the meme being purported by our profoundly retarded president.

Randy Rager nails it over at Cold Fury:

"Obama, you are a disgrace to yourself and your office. That you would, on one of our darkest days, a day that any real American would consider a day of infamy, choose to spend your time in conference with a special interest group rather than flying to Ft. Hood to actually be the Commander In Chief we elected you to be, speaks very poorly of you as man and worse of you as a President.

That you would then choose to use your bully pulpit not to move immediately, seriously and with decorum to addressing those tragic events, but rather to giving a “shout out” to Dr. Joe Medicine Crow first, clearly shows you to be a calculating political monster of a stripe I had hoped never to witness holding the office you are currently disgracing.

That you would then mistake Dr. Joe Medicine Crow for a Medal of Honor recipient after you yourself hung the Medal of Freedom around his neck no more than 3 months prior is, to put it mildly, one of the biggest acts of dumbfuckery it has ever been my profound displeasure to witness. Your immediate resignation would hardly begin to recompense the damage you’ve done today. Were you to give away all you own, renounce your citizenship and move to New Delhi to help the poor for the rest of your miserable misbegotten life you would barely begin to atone for this act of utter stupidity.

I shall never again call you President, for you have utterly disgraced yourself and the office."

Video is shown below -- appalling:

What's the diff?

I have never had much hope for this guy, but I have finally given up on him completely.
Time to hunker-down for the next three years and hope that we can somehow survive this imbecile.

P.S. Holy Mother-of-G-d!!!!!! Here's the moron PREZIDIOT pushing us to not "jump to conclusions about the shooter's motivations" WTF?!?! Was he a grumpy Scientologist, a pissed-off Presbyterian, mebbe even a frustrated Girl-Scout mad at not selling cookies? No? A Fable -- with a Strong Moral

John was in the fertilized egg business. He had several hundred young hens called 'pullets,' and ten roosters to fertilize the eggs.

He kept records, and any rooster not performing went into the soup pot and was replaced.

This took a lot of time, so he bought some tiny bells and attached them to his roosters.

Each bell had a different tone, so he could tell from a distance, which rooster was performing. Now, he could sit on the porch and fill out an efficiency report by just listening to the bells.

John's favorite rooster, old Butch, was a very fine specimen, but this morning he noticed old Butch's bell hadn't rung at all!

When he went to investigate, he saw the other roosters were busy chasing pullets, bells-a-ringing, but the pullets, hearing the roosters coming, could run for cover.

To John's amazement, old Butch had his bell in his beak, so it couldn't ring.. He'd sneak up on a pullet, do his job and walk on to the next one.

John was so proud of old Butch, he entered him in the Renfrew County Fair and he became an overnight sensation among the judges.

The result was the judges not only awarded old Butch the No Bell Piece Prize but they also awarded him the Pulletsurprise as well.

Clearly old Butch was a politician in the making. Who else but a politician could figure out how to win two highly coveted awards by being the best at sneaking up on the populace and screwing them when they weren't paying attention.

Not OUR Civil War -- but Interesting Nevertheless

Three people detained after June's disputed presidential election have been sentenced to death, Iran's Isna news agency reports. Read it here.

We are eagerly awaiting comments and condemnation from our Nobel Laureate -- the Odiot. But we sure aren't holding our breath.

The Peace of the Grave -- Doc Zero

From Reagan to Obama in 20 Years. Lightspeed -- in the wrong direction.

I’m not really surprised by the Nobel committee’s decision to grant the Peace Price to Barack Obama. I assumed they would give it to him at the earliest opportunity. I forgot the award had not been given for this year. It would have been slightly better for their credibility if the Nobel committee had waited until next year, but perhaps they didn’t want to take the chance that current events would make that impossible by the end of 2010. The kind of “peacemaking” favored by the Nobel committee is the kind that usually gets innocent people killed, and frequently ends in the kind of war that comes as an even bigger surprise than Obama’s award.

Obama was given the Nobel Prize, not because of anything he has done as President, but because of what the committee thinks he will do. His achievements are as non-existent now as they were on the day he was nominated. His agenda, however, is clear. He spelled it out in that insipid speech he gave to the United Nations a few weeks ago. Speaking as the leader of the indentured world, he made it clear that he plans to dim the lights on an America in decline, and humbly step aside as the post-American century begins. That’s why he won the Peace Prize. The Nobel committee has long seen the United States as the greatest threat to world peace, and the man who plans to bankrupt and disarm it has earned their admiration.

There are only two responses to tyranny: submission and resistance. Submission is easy. It can be negotiated. It is filled with nuance, and requires a large staff of diplomats and state functionaries to administer in style. Organizations like the United Nations make the first concessions to dictatorship by their very nature, as they allow thug states like Iran and Libya to take seats next to peaceful democracies. Obama’s dismal eulogy for America at the U.N. was followed by lunatic rants from the blood-splattered clowns who will be the new masters of the global future. Entertaining such creatures is easy, if you can just ignore the piles of faceless victims buried behind them. You may rest assured that the name Neda Agha-Soltan was not spoken during Obama’s Peace Prize deliberations, and it will not be spoken when the prize is placed into his hands.

Neda Soltan -- I don't recall Obama mentioning her. Strange?

Resistance is hard. It requires the courage to call evil by its name, and sacrifice universal adoration in the process. The Left likes to rail against intolerance. The defense of peace and freedom requires the absolute intolerance of evil. It requires leaders who don’t need a few days to decide whether to cancel the Fourth of July picnic invitations of a dictatorship that guns down peacefully protesting citizens. It relies upon a nation with the strength and resolve to project both humanitarian assistance and military power around the world.

Read it all here.

Laughing Illiterate Imbecile

Gotta give George Stephanopoulos credit -- I didn't think he had it in him.
